Countryside Stewardship
Alba specialises in the supply of plants for the Countryside Stewardship scheme. If you are applying for a grant, we are on hand to help with the plants, simply let us know the grant you are applying for, the length of hedge/area of land to be planted and your location. Our farms and estates team will then issue a quotation tailored to your project and your land.

Currently under Countryside Stewardship BN11 grant a payment of £22.97 per metre (May 2024) is available to create new hedges with a focus on replacing historic hedge lines and linking up habitats in our countryside.
Our Stewardship Hedging packs are made up of a Hawthorn base, with the remainder made up from a selection of native hedgerow plants.

Hedgerow gapping up
BN7
Currently under Countryside Stewardship BN7 grant a payment of £17.22 per metre (May 2024) is available to fill gaps in hedgerows. Gaps need to be over 20m long and to be filled with native species.
Our Stewardship Hedging packs are made up of a Hawthorn base, with the remainder made up from a selection of native hedgerow plants.

TE4
Currently under the Countryside Stewardship TE4 grant various levels of funding are available to plant trees, from single trees, clumps of trees or entire new woodlands.
